As Technical Director, Andrew is the architect of the customer facing and office based platforms which drive the FDQ business. These include: FDQAwards, FDQAssure, FDQAssess and our intranet system.

On a daily basis, Andrew is responsible for the continuing development and maintenance of these platforms. He works closely with our team to ensure that the system meets the needs of our regulators, centres and business. Andrew also has responsibility for FDQ’s data security, control, data mining and reporting as well as the maintenance of network stability and capability.

Having an in-house developer gives FDQ, as a food industry focused qualifications body, the ability to respond quickly to customer, business and regulator needs.

A graduate of the University of Plymouth, Andrew has more than 20 years’ experience of software and database development. He has worked across a number of sectors and high profile, highly regulated businesses including American Express and Black Horse.
