Level 2 Butcher
End-point Assessment ST0078
The Level 2 Butcher apprenticeship is suitable for butchers working in a range of roles in the meat industry. Apprentice butchers can select whether to specialise as a craft butcher, an in-store supermarket butcher or a process butcher, working in a meat processing plant.

The level 2 butchery End-Point assessment (EPA) consists of three elements:

A knowledge test, answered through multiple choice questions

A practical skills assessment

A vocational competence discussion, underpinned by the apprentice's completed logbook
​
A butchery apprentices End-Point assessment tests are completed on the same day and take up to 6 hours in total. The assessment must be completed within twelve weeks of the EPA gateway.
