The Advanced Butcher apprenticeship is designed to prepare butchers to take responsibility. Advanced butchery apprentices may find themselves taking responsibility for a production line in a large meat processing plant, running an independent butchers shop or managing a supermarket meat counter.

On successful completion, apprentices will be entitled to automatic registration to full membership of the Institute of Meat.

Become a manager

Take on the responsibility of becoming a manager. Utilise the skills you have learned throughout your butcher apprenticeship.

Master butcher

Work towards becoming an Institute of Meat recognised Master Butcher. Able to begin using M.Inst.M on email addresses, business cards and more.
