SFA Contracts 2014 to 2015

The Skills Funding Agency (SFA) plan to issue contracts for 2014 to 2015 delivery to providers and employers through the Hub in June. This follows the publication of the 2014 to 2015 funding statements on the Hub in March. All organisations that will hold a 2014 to 2015 contract with the SFA need to register on the Hub by the end of May to receive their new contract.

In particular, attendees will hear from government departments and how apprenticeship Trailblazers are progressing.

The key issues from within the Technical Consultation will be outlined, this will cover the implementation and impact of any changes to apprenticeship funding.

We are delighted to confirm that following a successful appeal to the SFA, on behalf of our centres, the SFA have agreed to continue funding the Level 2 Certificate for Proficiency in Fish and Shellfish Industry Skills until 31st March 2015.

This means that funding will continue for learners aged 19+, so providers can continue to use their adult skills budget to fund this qualification as standalone.

This means qualifications which sit within apprenticeship frameworks are not affected by this announcement.
